This project involved the extensive renovation of a family home in Rondebosch. As a multi-generational family, the clients needed a separate 2 bedroom apartment for their parents, that would also be connected to the main house. The main house was also altered and renovated and we created a very social entertainment area that opens onto the living space as well as onto a timber deck and outdoor break space with swimming pool. We expanded the main house and incorporated a Main bedroom with bathroom in the attic. We combined a modern black and white palette with soft timber tones in order to achieve a light, open and airy house and second dwelling, designed for a large social family.
