This project involved the extensive renovation of a family home in Rondebosch. The current kitchen and lounge was separated from one another and the lounge was very dark. Our brief was to re-configure the house, to create a open-plan living space that would have ample light with the kitchen at the heart of the house. We expanded the main house and incorporated a double garage as well as a private study for working from home as well as an entrance hall that the old layout lacked. We also created more height in the old braai room/study that is now the new lounge/entertainment area by exposing the existing timber beams.
